AccuBMR is a Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR), Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE), Calorie and Macronutrient Intake calculator that:
1. Maximizes BMR and TDEE estimation accuracy by: (i) using the Katch McArdle formula (which takes into account your body fat percentage) rather than simply using your total body weight, (ii) assessing exercise, work, and "other" activity separately, rather than simply using one generic activity multiplier for all daily activity, and (iii) recognizing that TDEE is a moving target partly because it responds dynamically to changes in energy intake, and making adjustments for this.
2. Ensures you're maximizing fat loss and minimizing muscle loss when dieting by adjusting the recommended calorie intake according to your body fat percentage, putting you in a larger caloric deficit if you're carrying more body fat, and in a smaller caloric deficit if you're carrying less body fat.
3. Builds several sets of personalized macronutrient recommendations according to your (i) preferred diet type (balanced, high carb/low fat, low carb/high fat, ketogenic, and custom), and (ii) training status (untrained/light training, cardio/endurance training, and bodybuilding/strength training).
